Closer to 1.5 stars. I read a lot about mental health - both humorous and serious - and this offered no insights at all into the author or her dealings with mental health.
So many good chuckles balanced with sweet emotional moments. Definitely relatable!

I loved this!
This was brilliantly written. Told in non-linear vignettes, Pritchett unravels the many stories and experiences that make up her life to explain why she might perhaps be feeling anxious.
I'd never heard the name before, so it was great to learn about all the TV work she's done over the years. As a TV comedy writer, it's not surprising her memoir was the first book to make me laugh in a very long time (though my reads to tend to verge on the darker side).
I really admired her spirit and sense of self – she broke into a misogynistic, male-dominated industry, put up with a lot of shit and still works doing what she loves.
The exploration of grief and navigating family relationships was very poignant too.

a collection of anecdotes about living with anxiety. Some were like personal experiences, some were like personal attacks, most made me laugh out loud. It is good to know other people have experienced life in a similar way, with worries about worries.

Honestly, I don’t know what I was expecting with this book. Maybe more of an analysis of life from someone who suffers from severe anxiety? I’m not sure but I do know that this was better. This book was funny while still being impactful and covering some very sensitive topics. A lot of the antidotes feel very much like what’s it’s like to get stuck in an anxiety loop where your brain takes you on a crazy ride of “what the hell?” which gives this book a very relatable quality. Definitely worth the read in my opinion and I highly recommend the audiobook that is read by the author.

Took me a hot second to get into it but it got really funny, really quickly. Especially relevant for my fellow elder millennials who were into S-Club 7 and VP.
