Well, this was an interesting one. On paper (lol) it seems like it should tick the boxes I’m looking for in a book but in reality it just didn’t live up. Most of the characters said and did things that made them seem horrible and I did not find some of the conversations they were having to be believable.

The book/author is trying far too hard to, idk, ‘represent’ certain kinds of experiences (trans/queerness, polyamory), and it just makes it clunky and boring and I’m kinda embarrassed for them.
