The rage I feel, the 2 stars are for the side characters
I’ve never in my life finished a book and thought to myself this couple will break up if this was real life. He was a huge red flag. I hate a book where the woman is begging a man, it makes me so uncomfortable and if Blair was my friend in real life I would tell her that he’s not good for her he didn’t even get better for himself but for her that’s not permanent, but she’s probably the friend that wouldn’t listen to me and do it anyway

Better than the first book and an easy read but both main characters were annoying

I read this super fast, enjoyed it more than the first one, and the

Cam&Blair

This was a fun read. Blair has had a huge crush on her brothers best friend for a few years. She finally decides she’s going to get him to notice her. Meanwhile Cam had always seen her and found her beautiful but wasn’t willing to risk things with her brother Knox. The sneaky around aspect made things interesting, but I love how she put her foot down knowing she deserved more than to be kept a secret. Cam really put the work in and I love his big reveal moment.

Enjoyed it

I enjoyed this, but I preferred the first book in the series. It took me a while to get to enjoying the book, but once I did, it was finished in quick succession.

Secret Romance full of spice, angst, and tension. I loved the dual POV, giving us Cam and Blaires' inner thoughts. Cam was so conflicted and struggled with his self-worth, but Blair was so confident and knew what she wanted. The perfect pairing!

I read this back to back with Playing hard to get which takes place pretty much in the exact same timeline. If I had to pick a book boyfriend I was a lot more into Knox than I was Cam. At times I wasn’t so sure why she was pursuing him.

But I have a soft spot for sport Romance especially when they are a part of a series. So it was still a fun light read.

Going into Cam and Blair’s story I was so excited that I devoured it, yet I wasn’t prepared for the storm of emotions that consumed me. Cam is Knox’s best friend and teammate who has some baggage of his own. It was easy for me to fall in love with him because yes he was a cocky football player but when we see his moments of vulnerability my heart hurt for him and I wanted to be there for him. Blair is Knox’s younger sister and he is very protective over her and she’s seen Cam around for a while but things between the have ever only been brief and platonic until the tension becomes unbearable. Together they are hot especially between the sheets but both of them have a lot of things that hold them back and things comes across as toxic at times. The angst and pain that they go through as they try to navigate life, sports, love, emotions, and so much at times becomes unbearable that they turn on each other. Cam thinks he isn’t worth y of Blair and that there will never be a time that he ever will be, but she sees the good in his heart is that enough to carry them through or will the insecurities shred them to pieces? This story was so real and emotional you feel their pain and you become invested in their growth and lives. Cam was such an amazing character I absolutely love him, I can’t wait for more.

3.5 stars

I loved Playing Hard to Get, and was excited to read Blair's book. I thought this book was good, and I liked both Blair and Camden. I liked that Blair helped Cam see a different side of himself, and I liked Blair's confidence and stubbornness in showing Cam that he's more than his insecurities.

However, something fell short for me, and I think it was that their story ran alongside Knox and Jojo's story. I thought that Blair and Camden's would be after, so I was excited to see more of Blair and Jojo's friendship, which we didn't get, and I was a bit disappointed. I also found the repetition of how hot Cam was a bit much and thought at times, the chemistry between the two was more telling and not showing. Finally, I wanted a bit more insight into their connection and friendship.

While this sounds like I didn't like this book, I actually quite enjoyed it. I just had different expectations going in, and that's on me. I think that this is a great book for fans of brother's best friends, sports and college romance and I'm looking forward to Ruby's book.
