I love this book! Read aloud every year on the first day of school!

This is such a fun first day of school book. I don't want to spoil the twist at the end, but it really had me chuckling. I am planning on using it with my 4th graders as a jumping off point for some back to school writing about feelings.

This was a cute story. I was confused as to why the girl was hidden so much but once we get to the end of this book, the answers are there and I thought that was funny! Never thought that would be what was going on.

I recommend this book to everyone feeling scared of a new thing in their lives. It was worth buying.

Great way to address start-of-school anxieties. (I also recommend the companion book, Last Day Blues.)

This is a realistic fiction book. This is great because throughout the story the reader believes they are reading about a student with first-day jitters when it actually turns out to be someone else! This book could be used for all grades at the beginning of the school year, but otherwise, should be kept in a k-2nd classroom.

Really cute twist at the end
