Didn't like this one at all. The absurdist comedy was highly missed.
This book is probably the one with the most plot in the hitchhikers guide series and although Adams isn't great at plot this is one of my favourites. I love the ending so much and there's so many dark twists and turns even though it keeps the lovely Adams style of intelligent wit.
Knew it wouldn't be that good, but decided to finally go through it anyway.

I think it’s fair to note that I read this book in one sitting, mostly because I was eager to finish this series. The series, as a collective, I loved very much. Something about this book seemed different, it felt almost off. I love the characters, but they all seemed different, the plot was really different from other books. If I hadn’t read this series and I read this book as a stand alone I think I may have enjoyed it quite a bit more, but as the end to a series I loved, it didn’t really do it for me.
