This book had some great descriptions of weird space/alien/foreign stuff. Little gem paragraphs. But the overall story didnt capture me. I put it down many times to start a new book.
Mostly Harmless is ironically what this book avoids to be.
Absurdist book made me wish I was absurdly nonexistent so I'd never read this absurdity in the first place.
There's controversy ahead and awful chains of events that only take your time without providing any sense of comic or pleasure.
The science fiction is indecent and the character developments are destructive.
Better not waste more of my time writing a review so I may forget it faster.
Should have stopped reading after the 2nd book and so should you.
The first 2 books will remain among my favorites, regardless of this particular nonsense.
P.s I didn't hate the ending. That was the only well-thought bit of the plot.

I definitely enjoyed the first 2 I read and since I knew these books don’t particularly follow a linear plot, I was ok skipping to the end. However, though it did have the same brand of humor and charm I wasn’t very invested in this one. I felt my mind wandering for most of it and was glad it was so short so I’d be done with it. I’m just glad I made the decision to skip to the end.

Much better than so long and thanks for all the fish, this book actually has a plot. following Ford and seeing his character development that was erased in that last book slowly return was great, and providing the problems of alternate universe (which fixes the plot holes of changed past world building) is shown so amazingly in the many lives of Trillion aka Trcia McMillan and the existence of Random. I feel like Finchurch maybe wasn't well received, and really I cannot blame people for thinking that as I also did not like the last book, but having her essentially killed off in the white space was kind of a crappy thing. I do wish we were given more time with her to give her a chance outside of existing solely for Author to screw and miss. While these are good books and I am thoroughly enjoying the series, I do think that Adam's falls prey to the misogynistic tropes of sci-fi.

This is the 42nd book I’ve read this year, which is fun, unlike the book itself, which isn’t.
