Holy twisted story! My jaw dropped multiple times reading this book. I adore Tessier’s writing and this one did not disappoint. This is one of those books that will make you ask yourself “Did that just happen?” A LOT! With every twist and turn, I was blown away at the depth of the concept of this story. I can honestly say, it has taken me a few days to write this review mostly due to the fact of how can you do it justice but also, I do not want a spoiler whatsoever. It is one of those books you NEED to just go in blind. Even the blurb doesn’t offer much compared to what is waiting for you in the pages! If you are a fan of Tessier and her writing, grab this. You will live for it!

My four stars are mainly for how the book hooked me with the mystery and events.
This book was longer in the beginning than it needed to be with a fast resolution that still left things unresolved.

I wish we got more of a history with Henley and her friendship with the boys. We are told they used to be best friends but we didn’t really get that in some flashbacks from Junior year. All we got was that her and Scout had a thing for each other, Law wanted her but didn’t do anything, Dax was also attracted to her but didn’t care, and Rellik doesn’t care about her. She just seemed to be there in their group because of Scout.

Henley made a lot of stupid decisions, had no plan as to actually getting proof (like her plan is to have Dax confess but she didn’t really interact with him and just got herself manipulated), and gave in too easily.
The “romance” was purely sexual. There wasn’t much talking or connection. I really am not a fan of the doll/toy kink or whatever. But I think he redeemed himself in the end.
It was hard to believe they were still in HS. But they are trust fund kids so I went along with it.
And the fact that Henley’s father didn’t really do anything when his daughter was in danger and left it to boys was ridiculous. Her brother is mentioned and then became irrelevant.

However I did enjoy reading this overall and trying to figure out what happened that night. My questions and suspicions were right!

If you liked Shantel's previous series about the Sharks then you are going to love this. It's dark, twisted and brutal with lots of triggers and I loved it. It had me on the edge of my seat throughout and I never saw the ending coming. Brilliant book.

SO GOOD!!!!

Holy moly.. this book was an absolute mindf**k! Twist and turn and twist and turn! I LOVED IT. It was soooo good. Just when you thought you’d figured something out there was another twist! It kept me completely hooked on every page! I loved the characters.. Henley was so strong and didn’t back down when the boys tried to hurt her. I can’t give anything away as I don’t wanna spoil anything but lemme just say the main guy.. jeeeeeeeez! I want him for myself. Seriously such a good book! I definitely recommend!!

I mean … so dumb. The characters are so fucking dumb. They love getting waisted and drugged up and then making dumb ass decision. School is 100% a non factor and adults don’t give a fuck either. And murdering people is just like meh, whatevs. If I have to guess; this is an earlier book for this writer because these characters are truly dumb.

WOW! This book was an intense and dark read that I simply devoured. Henley was once very close to the Reapers, but now she has ruined it all. She is goes against them and now they have revenge set in their sights for her. This book gave me some serious RH vibes and I thought it may go that way, but ultimately it didn’t which I was ok with just a tad sad about that. It’s deliciously dark with lots of twists that you may or may not see coming, but not to give too much away because it’s a definite read for those who love twisted reads. At times it could be a little confusing as there are many POV’s, but it also shows us the dynamic of this group and see things through their eyes. Overall, this was an interesting read that had me shocked at moments then questioning other moments, but I didn’t really get a lot of romance vibes just a good dark twisted story with a lot of characters.

I...wow...so much to unpack.

Jayysus that was inTENSE! I spent the first good 2/3 of this book SO confused. I was able to deduce SOME things but not nearly enough. This book was a doozy. It's really hard to review without spoiling it honestly. This is a book you kind of need to be blind through.

I will say, I was so conflicted up until a pivotal moment and even then I was saddened by how it played out. I was rooting for a certain redemption and then we discover there was no possible way and it was heartbreaking! The characters aren't always easy to hate, it's tough. I saw a few people tagged this as RH, it is NOT. There are scenes with 'sharing' but that's it.

The way the story resolves was not at all where I saw it going but holy cow was it incredible! This could easily be perfect for a mini series on Netflix. There is just too much to be said about it. You HAVE to read it!

I don't even know where to start with this book. Talk about bully to the tenth power! For me, none of the guys were likeable, except maybe Relik. Monroe and Law redeem themselves with me some towards the end. And the ending?? Holy amazeballs! Didn't even see that one coming!! Loved the guest appearance by the Sharks. I didn't know whether to shake Henley or protect her. Definite trigger warnings for sure. Lots of steamy scenes, however I don't like reading those scenes when the participants are not over 18 so I skipped those. Just not my thing. Great story and impossible to put down once you get started!
