Really good book! I loved the inclusion of a foreign language so if you didn’t know the words you were still kept in the dark until it was revealed.
I suspected a couple duo from the beginning but reading a book prior about a struggling mother kidnapping child out of personal heroics really set alarms off about Caroline from the beginning.
I was more leaning more towards Ted being more of an accomplice than he was? Not some foolish “love sick” weirdo. Buuuuuut I also kind of feel like he deserved a better ending than home girl Carol shooting him but also fuck him for being a lurker.

This was… a ride, to say the least. Similar to other low-star reviews, I would say this was easily a 4-star book until the last 25% or so. What a sh*t show the ending ended up being! Truly went off the rails, zero logic used in the twists- I get it’s paranormal & not “realistic” but with horror/thriller novels you can’t just evade logic for shock value
