This book surprised me!
It starts off like your typical haunted house babysitter setup… and then it slowly gets weirder. The suspense builds with every page, and those creepy little kid drawings?? Yeah, they absolutely added to the vibe.
I liked Mallory as a main character , flawed but likable and the writing was simple and easy to fly through. A mix of mystery, light horror, and emotional backstory that actually hit harder than I expected.
It’s not full on scary, but it definitely keeps you on edge.

I really enjoyed this book, it was unsettling and I couldn’t pin down what was happening until it was revealed. I also enjoy books like this that stick to their guns when it comes to supernatural or paranormal stuff happening — rather than revealing it to be natural at the end.
