Though I did find the book to be a tad flat at certain points, Schlink really brings the story together in the last 70 or so pages. The book is poised such that you at times have to assess your own moral compass, and where you stand with right vs. wrong in terms of the plot. Overall, an enjoyable read.

Ich musste es in der Schule lesen und es war glaube ich die beste Schullektüre die ich bis jetzt gelesen habe. Wirklich schön geschrieben und das Ende hat mich wirklich mitgenommen. Sollte man gelesen habe.
