Read all of these as kids, then relistened to this one as an adult. Really head and shoulders above most science fiction in throughfulness, although less of an adventure.
I really didn't expect a whole lot out of Ender's Shadow, knowing that it was a parallel story to Ender's Game. I expected a lot of the exact same sequences, just from a different character's point of view. As it turns out, it's a lot more than that, and I may even like it slightly more than Ender's Game. There are really only a few chapters that directly overlap Ender's Game. Most of the book, on the other hand, takes place around Bean in an entirely separate sequence of events. I highly recommend this book to anyone who liked Ender's Game!

I enjoyed the author's approach for this book and he managed to write the book so I didn't feel like I was just reading Ender's Game again. While this was a good book, it was not able to match the quality of Ender's Game. This book was a good read but nothing spectacular.

Ender's Game is one of my favorite books of all time, for so many reasons. Speaker for the Dead I loved just as much, for entirely different reasons. Ender's Shadows feels like Ender's Game, but different-- a different perspective, a slightly different view on the world, and a slightly different story. In my mind, it's almost just as good as Ender's Game.
