A book I've been looking forward to since Never Trust the Living !

When we discovered Wake and Dutch in Bram and Dory book, I was very curious to know how they had met, so I was delighted to learn that they would be in the first book of the new LLV series (the addiction continues xD)

I loved their first meeting (the most improbable excuse on the planet ... But I loved it so much !!) but I found their romance a bit too quick (I would have liked more foreplay before !), I laughed a lot (Bowie xD), I loved the whole drama with the evil sheriff (although I found the story of his sister a little too convenient ...) and finally the end was perfect !

In short, a torrid romance full of drama that I devoured ! I can't wait to read the next books !

PS: I SO want a book with Kobe!
PS2: I'm super curious to know why they all got out of prison...

There is so much to unpack in this book. We met both Dutch and Wake in Never Trust the Living and I enjoyed them both. We know that Wake went to prison for killing a bunch of pedophile rapists and that Dutch is psychologist. This book starts sadly and I will say that if I had been in Dutch’s position there is a good chance I would have asked Wake the same thing.

Dutch and Wake bond over their hate for those that hurt children. Wake isn’t someone that Dutch would have dated in the past but now he is perfect for her. They have a sheriff who is just trying to pin something on Wake and is more than bit of a douche. A teacher who may or may not be having inappropriate thoughts about students. Not to mention an MC that Wake swears is not an actual MC but is one with Wake as the president. There is a lot going on and the relationship they are building is the easiest part of their lives.

There is a lot left unanswered in this book however, Lani Lynn Vale does tell us in a note at the end that she did that on purpose. We will get those answers as the series progresses. I have so many questions. The first being did Lynn from the Souls Chapel Revenants MC series get them all of prison too. What the heck is up with Sunny and Annalise? Honestly, what’s the deal with Annalise all together? I mean there has to be more. I’m gonna need more. Like stat!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.  This review was originally posted on Storied Conversation

Ahhh, the Laniverse has expanded from Texas to Florida for such a great beginning. We met some of these characters in the last book of the Battle Crows series, and the Gator Bait MC promises to bring more alpha heroes and sassy women we will all love and enjoy gobbling up their stories. Wake is that dark hero hiding in the shadows waiting to provide retribution to anyone who harms an innocent. Dutch is a psychologist with a heart who is not about to let the scumbag who is using his position to hide his heinous acts continue to hurt others. These two are a match made in heaven, and they make the perfect couple to kick off this new series surrounding Accident, Florida, and the men of the Gator Bait MC. There are the signature alpha males, the humor, the sass, and the "thoughts" of the main characters to start each chapter--all the things that make books from Lani Lynn Vale the treats they are. Once again, I read the book in one sitting and was left wanting more. You will love Wake and Dutch, but you will also love all the characters you get to know as we await the next book in the series.

An amazing start to a new series! I loved this book so much!!! I was hooked from the very beginning, pretty much a one sit read for me! I am so excited for the rest of this series! This had everything you want from a LLV book! Strong family ties, Spicy romance, alpha hero and some suspense. Those are reasons why LLV is one of my favorite authors! This one does touch on a subject that could be difficult for some. So make sure to check for content warnings. I loved Wake and Dutch so much! There were things that were left open that will be closed up throughout the rest of the series. I can’t wait!!

Received a arc for a honest review.

Nobody Cared Unless You're Pretty is the first book in the Gator Bait MC series. I was downright giddy when I heard Wake was getting his own story! We met both Wake and Dutch in Never Trust the Living and now they are starting a whole new spin off series! Wake is about to be released from jail. Dutch is a psychologist. She seeks him out in prison to ask for help. Now that he's out he's going to find her. He knew he wanted her the minute he saw her. All red hair and curves. Now he just has to convince her to take a chance on him. It's not going to take all that much! Dutch wants Wake desperately but she wasn't prepared for how fast things started to move. One night turns into more, turns into something very permanent. Now she's getting to know his daughter and his sister and being brought into his family. They are stronger together and they need to be to deal with the sheriff. He's trying to catch Wake and send him back to prison, but that isn't going to happen. Wake and Dutch are so fun and hot and sexy together! I love how smart and independent she is and how laid back and fierce he is! It's the perfect start to a new series!
