Oooff....There was zero logic or flow and decisions the characters made were intensely cringe. There was also no consistency in story line or descriptions. Very weird book.

Brand new series for Lani Lynn Vale and as always she smashes it out the park.
You meet Wake in Bram and Dory's book briefly but enough that you get intrigued by him almost immediately.
Dutch and Wake was amazing together, what brought them together was pretty unconventional but who says a love story needs to start the same way!
I love a new series from Lani because thats even more characters to find and fall in love with and also see some preciously loved characters pop up every now and then!
I can't wait for the next one!

I have been so excited for this new series from Vale and I was not disappointed. Wake and Dutch start this series with a bang. I was intrigued right from the start and I devoured this book. I loved the chemistry between these two, the story concept and so much more. This book made me smile as Dutch was a very complex character and seeing her grow was absolutely amazing. Then we have Wake that will make you swoon so freaking hard! Their history made these two such kindred spirits. Great story. Raw, gritty and swoon!

Nobody Cares Unless You're Pretty is the 1st book in her latest series. This was a pure delight to read especially as this was my first Lani Lynn Vale and I absolutely adored it. I just want to bang my head against the wall for neglecting this author for so long. I have been hearing the best things about her books and I definitely seeing why so many love her work. This was such a fun MC romance. I have definitely been wanting to read more MC and this definitely ticked off all the boxes for me.
I found this story to be so interesting though. It wasn't as dark as I thought it would be, which I am totally good with. It was a mix of contemporary, suspense and some grittier elements. But it didn't have the full MC feel to it as it doesn't have some of the more toxic elements you can find like the crude language and treatment of women. This one it was so much better than I expected and I really had a blast with it. So if you don't like the darker MC, then I definitely recommend this one as it had a refreshing feel to it.
I really enjoyed this mix of characters and seeing this MC being formed of ex convicts who are just making their way through paving a new life for themselves. It does have some darker elements as the hero has killed, but more like vigilante style, killing those who are pedophiles. It definitely worked for me. We are introduced to some fun characters through. I really loved the suspense elements that adds a sense of thrills to the plot. Seeing the characters connect with each other and the romance develop was definitely a plus.
Overall I had a fun time with this one, and so eager to read the other books in the series as they get released! Definitely a keeper!

Wake is intrigued when Dutch shows up while he is in prison asking him something he never expected. Dutch knows Wake is a dangerous man and that one time meet stirs something inside her. Months later Dutch and Wake reconnect and this time Wake is planning to keep Dutch by his side. He knows he is not the type of man she deserves, but he is going to do everything in his power to prove he is worth it.
Another terrific beginning to a new series. A lot goes on in this one to set the stage for the books to come. Loved Wake, he was introduced in another book but this one you really get to know him. Dutch is terrific and I am definitely intrigued by the other characters brought into this story. Amazing.
