I look forward every year to Jenny Bayliss's newest winter romance/women's fiction title, and this year did not disappoint. Her books are always so cozy and sweet and full of love. This one centered around three estranged sisters, and their dynamic was so realistic, and their reticence about being stuck together by their father was palpable. The town was charming, and the romances were super sweet (I loved Duncan).

This was cute but not what I expected it to be. I thought this was going to be more puzzle-y/adventures but it wasn’t that. Also I didn’t dislike the characters but I just couldn’t relate to them at all in terms of age, relationships, or circumstances. A reader who could, would probably like this better than I did. And I thought the girl-power solution to Maggie’s eviction was too much. The book has a lot of threads to highlight what strong women look like in everyday life, it didn’t need all the women assembling like the Avengers to throw it in our faces.

The cover matches the plot and atmosphere of the book and when it comes to Christmas books I want to feel as though I'm living inside a small town Christmas wonderland. This is precisely how the book felt. I also liked the plot and premise of the three sisters who are growing closer again despite all the chaos ensuing in their individual lives. I loved the small town vibes and found the book overall charming and adorable.
