5/5 stars: Bayliss has once again brought all the cozy holiday feels, in particular winter solstice, with her newest British Holiday novel that weaves in the POV's of estranged half-sisters. As always Bayliss' characters are complex yet incredibly likable and the descriptions of the village and it's inhabitants are priceless. Bayliss also manages to not only deliver plenty of swoony romantic vibes and delightful dry, witty British humor but effortlessly balances the heavier topics in the book. Take care; Check the CWs. So cuddle up with your favorite hot drink and grab your coziest blanket and settle in with one of the seasons best books.

I adored this book. Loved the sweet and complicated familial connection of the sisters and their loved ones!

Augustus North had always been a wandering soul and a 'ladies man'. He owned the family business "North Novelties & Curios" which had been in existence for decades. Augustus passes away while living in his van in the mountains of Switzerland. In his will, he leaves instructions for his 3 daughters, Maggie, Simone, and Star. First, they must accomplish a scavenger hunt of sorts in his hoarder-like shop. Then, they must bring back the Winter Solstice celebration for the village (Rowan Thorpe). Each of the sister's has their own sub-plot throughout the book. Each of these plots was realistic to the characters ages and highly relateable.
I very much enjoyed this winter novel of sisters, community and legacy. Highly recommend.

I realize it's not Christmas, but this cozy feel-good was just what I needed during this chaotic time in life.

Rating was based mostly on the sweet feeling the book left me with. My only issue was the over the top descriptions the author used to describe feelings and the environment. She could have really pared it down quite a bit without impacting the story. But still, love a good Christmas story.
