The first 3rd of this book was slow, but I really live the way this story is told. I can't wait to pick up the next one!

this book was crafted in a laboratory to appeal to me about 10 years ago. current me liked it pretty well too, but i’m not as in love with it as i know i would have been once. i especially liked the narrator pointing out when she did dumb shit, it felt way less Strong Plucky Female Character that way.

Fun little adventure about dragons and other monsters (like people). Well-written and kept me invested in the mystery, will definitely be checking out the next one.
