A Game of Malice and Greed by the twisted sisters, wasn't sure how I felt about an Aladdin retelling but look, hear me out, it's realllly entertaining and Drake and Kyra's banter is just hilarious to me. Definitely sets up the series for what is to be a highly entertaining, stress-inducing, heart-shattering, steamy romance series. I will say it does feel a little dragged out and a lot of repetitive phrases that get overdone but eh, I still didn’t hate the book overall.

This is the start of a new series so I’m not surprised that it is 3 stars for me. That she’s not mean to say that I didn’t enjoy it immensely, it just means that I know that the next books in the series are going to blow this one out of the park. I noticed that with the Sister’s books the first one tends to be the slowest, especially spice wise. I have high hopes though.

This book was an Aladdin retelling through and through, though our Aladdin is definitely more grey than the Disney version. On top of the Aladdin references, I was able to draw a lot of parallels between FBAA especially dealing with the veil that Austyn wore.

This book left off on an intense cliffhanger for a first book of a series. I am a bit confused out the plot line and not really sure what the end goal and battle will be. Obviously maggot, I mean Magdor, will be playing a pivotal role as well as the old gods, but other than that I’m pretty stumped.

Right now I am rooting for Cass/Austyn and Drake/Kyra, but I can see things switching up a bit throughout. I also really want Kyra to get her memories back because her old self was a total badass. Also, Cass is a bit of a whiny character but that is what character development is for.

I will admit, I sped through this book because of the ZA bonus chapters at the end. If I was able to write a whole separate review on those two scenes I would because THEY WERE EVERYTHING. I miss my babies so much and need ZA 9 news.

Overall, not a bad book at all, I just know that the following books will outshine it.

DID NOT FINISH: 47%

It is toooo long, too much description, too much repetition, there were no relationships between the characters. I didn‘t see the friendship between the two guys ether. I couldn’t continue reading it because i just was so bored…
The world could be good. Maybe i start it again, when the second book comes out. But after engulfing ZA this was a disappointment.
