This book has two ratings from me: the listed and the unlisted. The listed rating is 3 stars, meaning the story was well-written and free of typos, spelling errors, and word usage errors. If you like this type of story, you won't be disappointed by poorly edited text taking you out of it.
The unlisted rating is how I felt about the story, and I have to give it 2 stars here. I couldn't really get into it, especially the hero. I have read a lot of alpha heroes and I don't have a problem accepting stuff on the page that I would run away from in the real world. However, the hero in the story never really softens up towards the heroine, even when she warms up to him and repeatedly insists that she isn't going anywhere. Right up until the end, the hero has the attitude that he must trap her in his den and keep sexing her up so she can't leave him. I also am not a fan of stories where there seems to be danger around every corner.
The bottom line is that this is a well-written story that may appeal to someone other than me, so I didn't feel right giving it less than 3 stars. I don't think I will be moving on to the next book, though.

It was a fun read, boring at times. It ended in a cliffhanger, so I'm curious about the series now. I don't know when I will continue with it, but I will definitely finish it.
