I appreciate the message, but just compiling a load of Gretas speeches and calling it a book does not necessarily make for good reading. Also, quoting a load of facts and figures and telling us it needs to change, yet not telling us how? It may be getting people to sit up and take notice but I somehow was expecting a little more. I know she's only young but for someone so passionate maybe we need something substantial to back up the commendable sentiments.

I was hoping for more information from this one as I found this quite repetitive.
I want to read more from Greta as I feel she has a very strong voice.

Would I recommend? Yes. Did I enjoy it? No. Knowing most of the facts discussed prior to reading it didn’t help. I really wanted to like it more.

More than five stars.

As a young person, who will have to live with the world that is left to my generation, this book highlights the issue that will be our demise; climate change.

This week I have heard about many issues, some of them that I had never heard of or had delved too deeply into-
-North Korea
-the Russia/Ukrainian war that may break out very soon.
-Domestic Abuse
-Gender Equality
-And much more.

If this didn’t make me scared for my future, than reading this book surely did.
I am panicking- exactly what Greta Thunberg wants us to do-
“Adults keep saying: We owe it to the
young people to give them hope.
But I don't want your hope.
I don't want you to be hopeful.
I want you to panic.
I want you to feel the fear I feel every day.
And then I want you to act.
I want you to act as you would in a crisis.
I want you to act as if our house is on fire.
Because it is.”

This is a quote in this book.

And I am panicking. I do not know if you all are. But I know that I am. Because, just as Greta is making clear here, we do not have much hope.

Greta explains that many people do not think that this is a crisis, or that it is a crisis that will just go away. But it will not.

This book is eye opening. I implore everyone to read this book, to pay more attention to the crisis, to fear what is to come, to make a change.

I wish that schools ad universities around the world would make their students read this book.

Read. This. Book.

Completely inspiring. Forthright, firebrand and powerful. Teens are not to be underestimated. The current generation will change the world.
