Romantic, sweet, contemporary Christmas romance. What I particularly appreciated was the heroine's genuine optimism and the lack of manufactured drama.

A typical happy-ever-after Christmas story with a bit of spice. I liked the characters. The audio narrator was just ok.

The third installment in the series and officially my favourite. It's set at Christmas, which makes me a little sad because it means I can't reread it whenever I want because it's not socially acceptable to read a Christmas book before November and after the new year. But I'll have to live with that and look forward to the holiday season when I can acceptably pick up this book again. This was by far my favourite of them all, mainly because I related to Eva the most with her romantic outlook on life. I also loved the romance in this book. Ugh, just writing about it makes me want to read it again now. It's just so good, but I would recommend reading the series from the beginning, even though a lot of people say you can read each of them as stand-alone books, it's nice to have the background stories from the beginning and experience everybody's relationships in order.

This is a hard book to rate because it wasn’t bad but it’s cheese factor was too much, even for me. I appreciate a good bit of rom com cheese, but in order for it to work, the book or movie has to be in on the joke, and I felt like this book was not. It was too earnest, if that makes sense, so instead of rooting for Eva, the main character, I just felt annoyed.

Lucas is a crime writer and widower and had a toxic relationship with his now-deceased wife. He gets the idea for a character in his new book that is based on Eva and he can’t write without her living in his apartment, so he hires her to cook for him and to be his muse. If it sounds weird, you’re right, it is.

Eva is all about sunshine and love and wants to fall in love even though she spends most of the book stating that she just wants to have sex and doesn’t want to fall in love with Lucas. But fast forward one (!) month and she’s declaring her love for him. He’s jaded and doesn’t want to propose until his grandmother makes him jealous by saying how quickly Eva will move on. He then decides to propose by requesting that Tiffany’s open on Christmas so he can propose there. After trying to talk him out of it (um, what?) she accepts and they apparently live happily ever after. Add in a lot of implausible dialogue that no real person would ever say, and that’s the book.

Plot gets a 6 out of 10 and characters get a 5. Overall grade is a C-.

Another in this magical series set in NYC. This one is set in my favorite time of year to be in NYC - the holidays! Eva has been present in the previous books in this series, but in Miracle on 5th Avenue she takes a starring role. She is the foodie of the bunch and ends up stuck at a reclusive author's home in the middle of a snowstorm and in true romance book fashion they may find love!

I absolutely love this series. It is moving up to be my favorite romance series. I love the characters. I love the business they have created (kind of wish I could work for them!) and I love how unique they are from each other, but you can still see how genuine the friendship is. I am an overall fan of this series and can't wait for each book to come out. I hope there are many to come.

Well-crafted romance, and amidst the implausibly glitzy setting, some moments where characters behaved in a natural and plausible way. Wildly optimistic and OTT ending, if you need a cheerful, chirpy read, this delivers.

3.5 stars! A sweet fairytale Christmas story! I enjoyed the banter with the main characters. Slightly repetitive at times, but it didn’t bother me too much.

Maybe I'm just in the right mood but I really love this. Eva is so adorable! (Some *might* think her annoying or immature though.)

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced readers copy!

Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan is a delightful conclusion of the From Manhattan with Love series. The third installment of the series features Eva, who is recovering from the loss of her grandmother. Her new client in this book is sexy crime writer Lucas Blade. She is sent to decorate his empty apartment for Christmas by his grandmother. Lucas hates the holidays, having lost his wife in an accident a few years ago. He is also going through major writers block. He is surprised by Eva’s appearance in his life and doesn’t want her in his life or his apartment. Forced to spend a few days with her due to a snowstorm he quickly realizes that he cannot write without her!

The chemistry between Lucas and Eva is very strong, and their witty banter is entertaining. Sarah Morgan tells a good story and I was sucked in on the first page. Watching Eva try to convince Lucas that perhaps true love is real and good was so much fun! Lucas and Eva are opposites in so many ways, but the connection (and the chemistry) couldn’t be denied. I highly recommend this whole series! 5/5 on Goodreads.
