Wasn't planning to continue the series until I saw Holly Renee on a panel at W&W and she talked about Evren being a character that took her by surprise because she didn't expect him to be such a complete and utter simp for Adara. I decided I could give book 2 a shot, especially since they are quick reads.

After getting through book 2 this is how I described the series to a friend: this is like if FBAA and ACOTAR had a very spicy baby book series where each book was only 250 pages instead of several hundred. There are very strong themes/reminders of both FBAA and ACOTAR but if that doesn't bother you then it's an enjoyable read.

DNF at 11%.
The end of the first book I was looking forward to the next but I cannot keep reading the same thing over and over. She will say I’ll never trust you and never let you touch me again and then 2 paragraphs later he touches her and she’s ready to power slide into the D. The spice and the dialogue is all too repetitive, especially their back and forth.. and I’m beyond sick of “princess” UHG, Evren gave me the ick

This book left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I was invested in the chemistry between the Evren and Adara in the first book, this sequel felt somewhat lackluster. However, I did appreciate the ending, which has encouraged me to pick up book three. I'm hopeful that the next book will be better.

-Wow, this book was everything!!!!! I loved every single minute but that ending :0 I think I loved this one more than the first one which I absolutely adored.

♡Evren- the way this man makes me feel, should be illegal. The swoon worthy moments and spice were chefs kisses. He is everything (I also picture him as Thomas Doherty).

♡Thalia and Sorin: I absolutely adored them, and really loved watching their interactions with Adara and each other. I can’t wait to be back with them next year!

♡Overall- The story picks up right where AKOSAS left off. I was instantly enthralled into the world again, I didn’t think I could fall more in love with Evren but here I am more obsessed than with AKOSAS. I was lucky enough to receive an arc. And honestly I loved this book, solidifying this series as one of my favorites. I am absolutely unwell after that ending but I will be counting down the days until the third book is announced!

P.S. Holly we need to talk!!!!!!!!!

The first book in the series was much better.

Plot is repetitive and writing just isn’t very good at all. I can’t stand any of the characters and don’t really care what happens to them.
