Adara has no backbone at all and she can’t seem to make up her own mind.
Do I want to keep reading the rest of the series? I’m not sure tbh.

I really want to like this book. It started off with so much potential, but the FMC has the emotional IQ of a peanut and I'm going insane with her internal struggle about whether to like the MMC or not. I skipped about half of book 1 and 2, and unfortunately its a DNF for me.
Is Holly trying to kill us with the these cliffhangers? My god. I’m so glad the 3rd book was already out because this ending put me through it

I was absolutely obsessed with the first book but this second book just missed the mark for me.
2.5 stars
It was so repetitive with minimal to no plot whatsoever. Adara and Evren were so focused on being "mates" - the word was so repeated - it made me start to roll my eyes.
Adara's character in this book was very whiny and immature. The whole book seemed redundant and a filler. I wish it gave us more. I LOVED the first book - it was always on my mind but man, this book... ugh.
I will still continue to read the series because I have a lot of faith in the storyline and the characters but I felt like I didn't learn much or felt much for anything with this second book.
