The fourth in the series, and unfortunately not as good as the previous three. While it was fun in parts, it felt like it was being added on to the series to achieve a final moment to resolve all that came before. That said, there is a set-up in this one for another to come, so not the greatest. The narrations was great as always, but there was something missing in the story.

Meh

I absolutely adored Zeus and quickly fell for him. It took me longer to warm up to Callie. Not just because of his behaviour in Atlas but his determination to make things worse for himself at the start of Zeus. Both these men are weighed down by emotional baggage, and Callie still struggling with self-worth after some poor choices manipulated by his abus1ve boyfriend. This book is a little more angsty than Finley’s usual stories, but there is still a lot of laughs and hijinks, and most definitely plenty of steam.

The usual Mike Bravo shenanigans occur, giving me some good laughs and we are introduced to a brand new character, Hazard who is driving Decaf crazy. I really hope we don’t have to wait too long to find out even more regarding their history. This was such a great addition to what is already an awesome series. I adored the path Zeus’ life took, the decision he made and Callie’s growth, both emotionally and figuring out his path in life were perfect.

I absolutely adore Zeus!!!

Saint and Iris are definitely still my favourite couple in this series, but Zeus and Saint are tied for my favourite character.

There is SO MUCH MORE to Zeus than the character we've seen so far, and he totally stole my heart - to the point where I feel as emotionally attached to him as I do to Saint after what he disclosed about his past. The man has layers and it was so enjoyable seeing them all be revealed.

I also liked the journey Callie goes on throughout the book too, because I really didn't care much for him in Atlas but I feel like he managed to redeem my opinion of him here. It's extremely refreshing to see two characters grow so much and the fact that they do it for themselves not for each other or anyone else was so different to everything I've been reading recently.

There's also the usual OTT shenanigans of the Mike Bravo team, but the relationship between these two kept the focus on their love story, rather than the 'bad guy' and whatever he was up to, which I definitely prefer with a low angst book.

I loved the ending and where these two end up, and I'm now dying with curiosity about who's book is next because I am all for seeing a growly Decaf, but I'd also love to know more about Scout too!

Thank you so much for the ARC Eden Finley!
