i did not expect to like this installment THIS much, let alone for it to become my favorite of the bunch! i usually don’t love the man whore “i’ll never settle down” trope, but zeus was just so lovable. from the last book, i expected to hate callie forever, and was honestly bummed when i saw he was the love interest, but my mind was quickly changed! their romance was so fun and emotional. the actual plot was exciting and i love their dynamic. i do wish there had been more happy (i.e., more sex that wasn’t tinged with sadness or uncertainty), but i loved them so much! i am SO excited for the next one too with all the set up for Decaf and Haz…. that age gap and past trauma… oooooo girl

yes! callie finally got their story!

3.5 stars? I have such a weird relationship with these books. I don't love reading them - they're ok, but never amazing to me - but also I want everyone's damn story (even knowing I'll be left wanting). The Mike Bravo guys (and Angel <3) are so damn great and I love them. Iris is forever my fave though.

I actually liked the character and their growth here. Zeus' realisation that he has to grow out of his playboy act to avoid responsibility if he wants other people to stop seeing him as nothing but a pretty face. Callie deals with the traumatising aftermaths of years of abuse to find something in himself worth loving. They work well together, I liked it! Though their attraction went too fast in my opinion. I wish it'd taken a bit more time for Zeus to feel something special. He is established as a commitment-phobe and it is reiterated at the start of the book and 3 pages later he is jealous of Callie kissing someone else. Huh. I just wish it was more of a slow burn, but that's because slow burns are the best fucking thing (and the reason why none of these books will ever truly hit for me, though I love the MB guys).

The plot was ridiculously over the top as usual, with organised crime chasing a random guy and everything, but hey, it is how it is and at least we don't get weird racist subplots anymore, yay!

Love love love the side cast, love the new guy Haz but I have to say I am not looking forward to his potential book with Decaf - I would have loved it if Decaf wasn't old enough to be his dad and I fucking hate age gaps so much. I want Ghost's story! Scout's! I am DESPERATE for Angel's and if people actually loved women, I'd know that one day I'd be reading her book but life sucks and I know that's not happening. But hey, I know myself, and I know that no matter what I say, I'll still read Haz and decaf's goddamn story... and wait for more Mike Bravo content, because I love them.

(I'd add quote to this review, but literally most of the stuff I highlighted were Iris being Iris... and a few of Zeus being Zeus, I guess but mostly Iris... Oops!)

I really enjoyed reading Zeus. I love Eden's other books but had not yet read any of the Mike Bravo books. I had the opportunity to recieve an ARC of Zeus and dove right in. Now I'm back reading the series from the beginning! I will say, you can read this as a standalone but reading the other books does round out the supporting characters in this book.

I don't want to have any spoilers here so I will say.. its very well written. Both the main characters are well rounded. The story isn't all build up with a rushed ending. I really like that about this book.

I really enjoyed how the characters evolved over the course of the story. There's plenty of excitement and explosives that the Mike Bravo Series delivers so you won't be disappointed there at all!

I'm an voracious reader so I go through books quickly but I took my time with this one and was sad when it was over because I loved all the guys so much!

Definitely a 10/10 recommend for those that like some excitement and thrill with their romance stories!
