Charming as always, but too cheesy at the end for me. Hot sex scenes.
I love every single one of these Mike Bravo Boys!!! I was excited to see what was going to be done with Zeus and how his character would be the next to be hit with the love bug. I was excited to see how Eden would get the funny, seemingly carefree, designated playboy to take life more seriously.
Zeus was originally introduced in the previous MB books as a playboy who didn't believe in relationships, feelings, and love. Due to his own past trauma he thought it was easiest to live life with no attachments.
Callie had his own set of emotional and physical trauma from his past that got him into some hot water with his best friend, Lemon, and the rest of the Mike Bravo team. He was told so many times that he was never going to be good enough, or couldn't survive without his current abusive boyfriend that he went against his friends and the team and almost killed everyone, and himself when he was left behind by said boyfriend. With all of his baggage and past issues he believes in one manta: fight or flight, which he chooses the latter more often than not.
Over the last year he has spent his time living on the run, from state to state, just trying to stay off of everyone's radar. Little does he know Zeus was tasked to locate him, to make sure he was safe, for Atlas and Lemon. Of course Callie thought Zeus was there to take him out instead and ended up getting himself, and Zeus, into a bit of a pickle.
Zeus and Callie are wonderful together. It was a beautiful thing getting to see Zeus come into himself and see that meeting your person and sharing things with them is not as terrible as he thought it would be. He is fierce, loyal, protective, and possessive in the best kind of way. I was proud of Callie deciding to take life by the balls and just do it for himself. Going back to school, finding something he was passionate about, and just going for it.
Of course, this book wouldn't have been complete without all of the banter and interactions with all of the other Bravo Boys. I am looking forward to the next book(s). I am hoping to get a little peak into the mystery that is Decaf.
I highly recommend this series, and all of Eden's books/Collabs to anyone who has not read them yet.
