This will definitely be a good tv show.

3.5 star rating

I like the idea of the story of america having a monarch system. The drama is 10/10. The vibes in this book were 5 star! But the writing was not my favorite why I gave it 3 stars.

I don’t like Daphne. Ethan is a fake friend. I feel bad for Nina but not rooting for her. Sam is my favorite. Beatrice makes me want to cry because I feel so bad for her.

Its an enjoyable read. Though the end disappointed me,
with Jeff and nina
I didn't let that ruin the book for me. This series will probably be one of my favourites once I finish. I strongly recommend this book.

Toller Schreibstil, das Ende war echt traurig. Kann das Buch nur wärmstens empfehlen, man kann sich sehr gut in die Charaktere versetzen und fiebert praktisch die ganze Zeit mit, wie es weitergeht. Alles in allem 4/5 Sterne.

This really dragged on and on and on. The concept was good (hence the 3 stars), but really, there were too many story lines. At least 100 pages could have been edited out and saved for another book. There was no way this was going to be a standalone and was always part of a series. The author crammed way too much in to the first book, and it doesn't really work.

drama, great. the story overall, not for me. i found it so hard to keep track of who was who at the beginning of the story.

nina sucks and couldn’t stand how insecure she was the whole book. daphne scares me, beatrice is a pushover, and samantha seemed like the only normal character.

Based on an interesting premise: what if America had a rPeigning monarchy? In order of my preference here's all the tropes I saw in this one: best friend's brother, Bodyguard romance, different worlds, crazy ex girlfriend, relationship of obligations/altar diplomacy, secret relationship. So yea there was a lot going on here and it read like a soap. I found the characters were a little one dimensional as well but it was mostly fun to read until it wasn't and I hated the end.
