I wanted to like this book after reading Deal With the Demon series by this author, but it’s just not as good! This is a very fast paced book. I feel like it would’ve been way better if it was stretched out into 2 maybe 3 books just to add a little bit more detail to the storyline.

It would have been an ok 13 years old fan fiction but it’s a really bad written and 2021 published book. The story ? Characters with depths ?i
It was so hard to get through the first 100 pages that we decided to speed through it via the audio book. It was still cringy. Couldn’t t grasp who was in the scenes what was happening and where it was heading to.
Are sexe scenes written by a white heterosexual man ?
I wouldn’t recommend it.

I vibed heavily with this author when she was writing with Meg Anne but this entire book felt rushed and like it was missing something. I'm sure I'll pick it up again but for now. Its a no.

First off the narration of this book is so freaking good! The story was gripping with some very spicy scenes! Was definitely hard to put down, the ending just seemed anti climatic to me? The trials just seemed too easy! And the ending came to fast
This contains the entirety of Maeve's story ( two parts) and a bonus short story. This has great storytelling and so many twists. This characters are dynamics and distinct. I enjoyed the variety of personalities. This captivated me very early on and had me until the end. There is mystery, magic, steam and suspense. Three quarters of the way through I was worried on how this could be considered a standalone, but the story was wrapped up well and is complete.
The audiobook had a full cast. I loved that they interacted with each other creating a dynamic and engrossing audiobook. It held my attention to the point I finished this audiobook in a day and a half. Each voice was east to discern and understand. I love the accents of some of the narrators. I really enjoyed the narration of this book.
