Great premise but boring and bland result. Happens too often, sigh.
4.5; I’m so invested in this story despite how short it is, though to be honest it didn’t feel that short. Davidson does a magnificent job in creating such an interesting world and characters in so little time. There’s not too much action in the Faceless Mage but it still feels like a great opening to a series with a lot of potential, just a manageable, bite sized version. There’s so much more to explore with these characters and the world and I’m really looking forward to the next instalment!
It kept me entertained but nothing happened in the whole book. I only finished it because I was curious about Raven.
Everything about this beautiful cover entice me to pick up this book. I'm so glad I did. It was a good read, but the last 100 pages were what really got me hooked. I'm excited for book 2 and can't wait for book 3 to be release.

I really really enjoyed this book. I liked the slow relationship that began to form between leisa and the raven. Things didn't turn out how I expected, and it was a fun journey. Can't wait to read the next one.
