Extremely Good

I really really enjoyed this book. I liked the slow relationship that began to form between leisa and the raven. Things didn't turn out how I expected, and it was a fun journey. Can't wait to read the next one.

The complexity, how well written this was, the subtlety of the magic systems but the way it impacted the world- I can’t wait to continue to explore the characters and the Five Kingdoms, watch Leisa get a hold on her magic and understand exactly what it is, and see who exactly the ever mysterious Raven is and what he is capable of.

Another eh book, can someone please recommend me a good one?

I listened to this book on a trip and I really enjoyed the story and the dual POV. It left off on a cliff hanger and I will be reading the second book. The two main characters have such a sweet bond and I'm excited to see it grow.

It’s really a 2.5 stars rating. It started off fairly interesting and then just became meh. By the end it was repetitive and lackluster in terms of story. While the mc is set up to be this spy/body guard capable woman, it doesn’t really show through in an exciting way.
