I liked Owen and Zora, but wanted more from them, and the ending felt rushed.
Sadly, I had to DNF about halfway through. It just wasn't for me. It was a bit too simple, very predictable, maybe even juvenile; Zora was a bit annoying and Owen was pretty one-dimensional. I didn't care for their romance.

TEAM ZORA FOREVER*
*Even though I feel like a dunce since she's 16 and already doing post- secondary courses AND making such an impact in her community. But this isn't about me.
And I would love this as a film too!! It has sweet romcom vibes. ALSO the author is from Ohio (Columbus, to be specific) YAAAAAAY 🥰🥰🎊
Content warning: racism (microaggressions), death of a sibling, Harry Potter reference

Cute. Short. Not enough substance for me to feel as though this book deserved a four or a five star review- it has some unique elements to the royal romance trope, like a Black main character and the academia setting- and was a worthwhile read, but it doesn't necessarily stand out to me.
