Nate & Essie’s story was fantastic! We wouldn’t expect anything less from HH, would we? Nate is a true grump to Essie’s sweet, sunshine persona. If you live four family, I loathe every single human but “my person”, you’re gonna love this one! I also read this one with my ear holes snd Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood gave Nate and Essie LIFE! Top tier narration!
Just go ahead and read it, y’all. It’s Helena Hunting. You know it’s gonna be good! 😊

Essie and Nate shared a mind-bending, incredible, and perfect kiss almost six years ago, but Nate ghosts her. Now, they are forced to work together as maid of honor and best man for their best friend & brother's wedding. Nate is constantly annoyed by Essie's love of love, and Essie can't stand his storm cloud attitude. Despite their differences, they cannot stop thinking about their kiss.... and how to make it happen again.

"You're such a smoke show when you look like you're plotting my undoing."
This was so so good!!! Definitely my new favorite Helena Hunting book. Nate & Essie had electric chemistry from literally the first sentence, and they were so funny together. Essie is such a sweet soul with a heart for love & i loved seeing her make Nate see the world in a more pink hue. They were so good for each other & supported each other flawlessly without even recognizing it. I like every book more and more in this universe & I can't wait for more 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much to Helena Hunting for letting me be a part of the BBB ARC team 🫶🏼

This book was SO fun! The maid of honor and best man of my favorite couple of the Toronto Terror series are complete opposites. Essie is a delight! Loves all things pink and princess and is ultra organized. And now has to work with the best man - when she has a history with. This grumpy sunshine love story is such a fun romp through a series of wedding planning activities including the showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties and a destination wedding! Vacation shenanigans and all!
This book made me so happy and you can’t help but to root for these two even as they work through their past relationship trauma. And the spice!!! Classic spicy Helena Hunting! I read the ebook in 2 day, turned around the next week and listened to the audio - it was just that good!!!

I Could Be Yours was like reading a beautiful reunion book of Hunting's greatest hits! Essie Lovelock and Nate Stiles were at the heart of this new story, of course, but they were surrounded by friends and family from the Toronto Terror family, Tilton U, and even the Pucked universe. It was the best found family reunion that I could have imagined and I loved everything about it!!
Both of these characters have been in previous books, as I mentioned above, this is one big interconnected world and keeps getting more connected with each book. The main focus is Rix and Tristan's wedding and subsequent parties and gatherings that revolve around this big day. Essie and Nate have been put in charge of the events, being the best man and maid of honor, and it would be fantastic if these two actually got along. Or rather, Nate wasn't the grumpiest rain cloud walking the plant who was a total pessimist. Essie is his complete opposite, a rainbow of eternal optimism who believes in love and everything that involves. Somehow they have to make everything come together to give Rix and Tristan the wedding of their dreams, while working closely together and not let anyone else know about their kiss and dis from six years ago.
The book is full of past characters, which is a fantastic thrill for a fan like myself, but even read as a standalone, this book captures all the feels of an opposites attract romance, lots of great tension, witty banter, and a wonderful found family.

One kiss. That’s all it took for Nate and Essie to catch feelings.
Until Nate ghosted Essie and for six years, they both avoided eachother until Nate’s brother and Essie’s BFF are getting married. (Rix and Tristan!!!)
Nate the grump.
Essie the rainbow.
With the wedding coming up, they both end up having a competition on who can be the best bride of honor/best man.
"I know you're used to being the center of attention, Ess, and I'm sure it burns your ass to share the limelight. But I'm happy to knock you off a paddleboard later to cool you down."
The banter and tension was delicious!

I love seeing all our loved characters from multiple series of Helena Hunting!
Everyone comes together for this epic wedding. Down to the hilarious cucumber mentions, I was dying laughing. 🥒
Nate is a flawed character that recognizes where his pain stems from and wants to get help to better himself and for the girl he fell in love with.
The character growth is there.
The love story is there.
And it’s the sweetest ending.
I’m literally so in love with his world and all these characters and their individual love stories!
@helenahunting is always a guarantee if you are looking for spice, banter, found family and hot hockey players. This new release, I Could Be Yours, doesn’t disappoint.
Essie and Nate have known each other since hgh school and shared a kiss before leaving for university, but then Nate ghosted Essie. Now, six years later, they are organizing the wedding for Nate’s brother and Essie’s best friend, and they have to manage to deal with one another.
This story is a story on how to move forward past trauma and avoid it from defining your entire future. To take the rein of your life and jump even though you are scared. More than that, the chemistry and tension between Nate and Essie is incredible and I love a good second chance story.
I love how Helena has the magic touch to intertwine all her books and the familiar ties they have created.

I Could Be Yours by Helena Hunting was my first book by this author but will not be my last. I really enjoyed this book. This book is told from a dual pov following Essie Lovelock & Nathan Stiles. Essie is the maid of honor for her bestie, Rix's upcoming wedding. Nate is the best man for his brother, Tristen's wedding to Rix. There is history between the two. Six years ago Nate ghosted Essie after kissing her and now they have to plan wedding events together. Essie is such a fun character. I loved her bubblegum princess personality. Nate is described as a hot grumpy nerd type. Their chemistry was on fire. I absolutely loved the banter. This was such a fun book that I could not put down. I have added Helena's other books to my tbr.

“Why are you always such a grumpy old man?” “Why are you always trying to be a fairy tale princess?” “Why are you such a storm cloud?” I try to pass him so I can ask Uma for help, but he steps in front of me and crosses his arms. “Because I enjoy raining on your parade, obviously.” “Obviously.” I really wish I couldn’t and didn’t appreciate how nice his forearms are.
Spending all this pre-wedding time in proximity to Essie has been bad enough. She’s frustratingly beautiful—irrationally stunning in a way that makes my palms damp and my heart rate spike every fucking time I look at her. She’s also an eternal optimist. Her zeal for romance and falling in love is a barely tolerable irritant. She’s the glorious ray of sunshine peeking through my rain clouds to create a rainbow.
“Take your broody asshole down a notch, Nathan. Your black cloud is dimming my shine.”
“God, you get under my skin.” “Good. That’s been my goal from the start.” “Mission accomplished.”
I don’t understand the logic, or lack of it, but how satisfying is it that the man who ghosted me all those years ago can’t keep his hands off me now?
I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.
