A fun read with some good concrete ideas for decluttering (and with more detail and helpful illustrations), but ultimately I couldn't stick with it. I'm just not a minimalist and I like my things, practical or not.
I've been "reading" this since February. I think it's time to accept I'm not going to finish it, though I would like to continue organizing my apartment in the new year. But I think if I choose to do Marie Kondo's method, I should start from the beginning.

The sequel to 'The Live Changing Magic of Tidying up', I would call this more of a supplementary piece to the first. She's provided cute illustrated pictures to show her methods more clearly and gives little tips that didn't quite fit in the first book. A keeper for sure if you liked the first.
Thanks to this book. I am now motivated to clean and organize my things and my room.
This is a short read that clarifies, just a bit more, the first book. That's where my 2 stars comes in - it's not much more info than I already had from book one.
Two stars is not a reflection on Konmari though. She's clearly found a path to both cleanliness and happiness that works for her and that is good thing. But if it doesn't work for you, take her advice - wish it well and let it go. I don't understand the hate for this woman and her method. She's not holding a gun to your head people, calm down.

The clothes folding chapter is very helpful and innovative, and I've found file folding really works for me (although I WAS skeptical at first).
A great companion to Life Changing Magic. I enjoyed the more personal anecdotes of this volume.
Although this book isn't as useful or focused as the first book, it was an enjoyable read. I love KonMari's strange expressions and unusual tidying mishaps.
The illustrations are cheerful and actually really useful. I've been folding bulky things and long-sleeved shirts totally the wrong way since I read the first book a couple of years ago.

Helpful organizing tips. Interesting to read her methods.
Purchased a hardcover of this as soon as it came out because it was 30% off at B&N. Really glad I did. While I enjoyed her first book, I felt like this one was way better written and had more information in it. Can't wait to get started tidying.
