An excellent step-by-step companion to The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.

Finding joy in the mundane is something everyone needs. Love marie kondos version of minimalism eventhough she doesnt label it as such.

A friend had recommended this method about a year ago, and I thought it was intriguing. Then my dad sent me a video of Marie Kondo. I was very drawn to it process and borrowed this book from my local library. Once I began reading it, I realized it was the second book written by the author but decided to finish it and get the first book later. I absolutely love the idea of surrounding myself with things I love and getting my house in order. Initially I didn't dive into tidying, but did start to look around and get rid of things that no longer spark joy. Read the first book and made the decision to go for it. So far I have pulled all of my clothing into the living room and have been discarding the things that I no longer love. My closet has less than half of what it did prior. I will finish with clothes this weekend and move onto books.

As a admitted hoarder, I have tried many methods to try to get my house under control, but this method really speaks to my heart *and* my mind. I really appreciate her advice to not tidy locations, but by category. In the past I have tried cleaning one space at a time, and it would get cluttered before I was able to finish the next space. I always felt as if I were chasing a never ending tail.

I see the KonMari method as making so much sense and being easy to maintain. I definitely recommend both books for anyone, clean freak, hoarder, or somewhere in between.

Imagining being surrounded by people & things I truly love is very motivating. Will I finish and maintain it? Time will tell!

A partner book to The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. More tidying tips!

I like this book better than the first, actually. IIRC, this one seems to contain much more nuance than the first, and focuses more on positive benefits of tidying rather than guilty effects of clutter.

Similar to the first book, the core principle is really great. This book just has a lot of fluff to sift through.

Livro fácil de ler, com ilustrações para as orientações. Acredito que foi o ponta pé inicial para o minimalismo.

I found this book to be very helpful for me and it inspired me to be more intentional with my possessions and to make sure that I actually enjoy the things I have. Some of the principles don’t quite work for me but I started implementing a decent amount in my life that have helped me.

The book has made me mindful to consider the joy factor when looking at my possessions or things in general. I may not get to Marie Kondo’s expert level but there are principles I am taking and putting to practice.

acabei relendo para arrumar meu quarto. é mais interessante ler sabendo o contexto e histórico religioso da autora.
