Sorry Paulo but i feel like these books aren't for me. I liked the Alchemist a lot when I first read it but this whole book feels like it carries the kind of sentiment your stoned friend might say to you at 3am. It feels profound in the moment but... it's also kinda nonsense that you can't really apply to real life.
I was hoping for a story like The Alchemist. It was mostly archery-related life lessons about focus and inspiration. Eh. I’m glad it was a library book and I didn’t spend any money on it.

“The Alchemist” this is not, unfortunately. What could’ve been a story about mentorship and redeeming yourself felt more like an archery handbook with beautiful drawings, nothing more. C+ (58%/Satisfactory)
Love a good quick read with good lessons/reminders/messages.
Will read this one again.

❝The bow is life: the source of all energy. The arrow will leave one day.
But the bow will stay with you, and you must know how to look after it.
It requires periods of inaction—a bow that is always armed and braced loses its strength. Therefore, allow it to rest, to recover its firmness; then, when you draw the bowstring, the bow will be content, with all its strength intact.❞
- The Archer by Paulo Coelho
Just the right kind of book I needed to wrap up my reading. Coelho's words definitely permeated a sense of much need optimism for the upcoming year.
In “The Way of the Bow”, Coelho through the voice of Tetsuya, the best archer of the country, conveys the life teachings in the language of the bow and the arrow.
Coelho's words though a bit repetitive manages to administer a sense of clarity for people who are seeking for it.
