Rating: 5/5 stars

H rating: 5/5 - oh Sebastian...you incredible lovely and fictitious behemoth of pure alpha hotness..you were awesome.

h rating: 5/5 - Dru you freaking badass. I love her! Understood her hesitation and even her reaction to the ex stopping by, loved her ability to set her man at ease when needed and her take no shit attitude was and is my biggest goal in life to have too.

Drama: 3/5 - minimal drama, nothing too crazy.

Thoughts: So happy to have decided to re-read and then read the rest of this series. It's been on my TBR for a while now and I'm finally doing it!

This was... okay. I just couldn't connect with Sebastian. Too many grunts, not enough words.

Def not giving up, though. I'm already feeling better about Zane, and this chick cannot wait for Xavier...

Absolutely brilliant read!

Oh bast!! I loved this first in the series book. Sebastian & Dru had me feeling all of the feels!! I can't wait to fall more in love with the rest of the badd brothers!!

For whatever reason, it’s been a long time since I read a Jasinda Wilder book and I forgot how intense the emotions are in her books.

Sebastian is pretty much a caveman…he’s not very talkative, relying on grunts as his answers most of the time; refusing to acknowledge any emotions at all and having any conversations physically in the bedroom. He’s a really good guy and a family man once you knock down the abrasive, caveman walls he’s built. Because we don’t really get to know him too well outside his family loyalties and his gentleman ways with women, I don’t feel a big connection to him.

Dru is as big a ‘bad mother*cker’ as Sebastian is. She can be just as ‘caveman-y’ as he is and just as abrasive. She’s strong and independent. Her knee-jerk reactions to everything rival Sebastian’s which may make conversation difficult between them. She’s been hurt pretty badly in her life and built up some strong walls as well which takes the big badd Sebastian to knock down. They are essentially a match made perfectly for each other.

This is definitely erotica and some of the language was pretty vulgar – the use of p*ssy, c*nt and various words for the male anatomy thrown around liberally, so if you can’t handle that this is not the book for you. I cringed a few times at the vulgarity of it.

I had one issue with the book but it’s a bit of a spoiler so I’m hiding it. Please understand this is a major spoiler so read at your own risk.
Spoiler I had a major issue with all the details of the first few days they spent together then at the end of the book we fast forward to the epilogue 4 months later and it’s all wrapped up in a pretty bow.

I have to say I’m pretty hooked on this series already and am anxious to read every book about the other brothers. They each seem to have completely distinct personalities and stories to tell. It looks like Zane’s book will be next as we get some foreshadowing at the end of this one.

Audio book review.

New adult romance full of naughty flirting and sassy characters. I was pulled in by the drama at the beginning, but really, the groom cheating on his bride just before the ceremony with the slutty bridesmaid? Cliche. And the friends aren't angry or supportive of the bride, just laughing on their phones at the groom tripping and falling over while mounting this girl. Ugh. I love the banter between the scorned tomboy main character and the bar owner with the chip on his shoulder. The two make a good pair and bounce well off each other, although they are pretty severe stereotypes. Sometimes the descriptions of their bodies was a bit too much to enjoy. More cliche. I do enjoy the fact eventually all his brothers come back, because Dad put it in the will, but I feel like more drama could have built up, more resentment explored, more resistance from the brothers who left when they wanted to. That part felt conveniently wrapped up to make way for the romance at the core of this book. I would be interested in reading on, but I'm not making it a priority at this time.

Holy HANNAH on a cracker that was steamy.

Really enjoyed this - mainly sharing because I think Eric will laugh at the title though!
