The name gives it away people. This is Badddddddd
No substance.
Some laughable “characters”.
Constant swearing cause it’s cool.
Plenty of smut tho.
I laughed cause it was so so so bad.

This for me this book embodied the "Some things are things are meant to happen" vibe.
overall I liked it. But I kinda wished Sebastian beat the crap out of Dru's ex-fiancee after all he was a cheating bastard. :)

Cute and steamy
This is a cute and steamy read. I like all of the Badd Brothers. Dru and her dad are equally awesome.

I love this book...
Insta attraction with HEA...
A girl walks into a bar, wearing a ruined weeding dress, but Sebastian is a fun Alpha, and tries hard to turn the brides mood around.
Hot an explosive, with a protection male when he needs to be...

We read this for Drunk Book Club. So for me this was a re-read. I loved it. I loved the sexy dirty talk. It sets up the next books in the series. While there isn't a ton of plot of story line I really like how tough Dru is. I loved how we are introduced to the brothers. I highly recommend this series.
Where to start with this one? The whole entire “fiancée was cheating on me on my wedding day, let me get out of here and fall in love with someone completely different even though I said that it wouldn't happen” is a common Romance novel concept. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t really add anything that makes it stand out from the rest.
First off, I have not read any other books by this author so I don’t know if this is a common theme, but the writing of this book feels immature. The author likes to use the same words often, especially when it comes to curse words (note that I'm all for swear words, but there are more than just 2 in this world). Some words are used so often, that I’m pretty sure that if you did a count of how many times the word “belly” is used versus any other word that means the same thing, it’d likely be a 50:1 relationship in this book. There’s also an awkwardness to the writing. Being detailed and specific is fantastic. However, the detail given in this book is often very formal. It stilts the flow of the book and made me uncomfortable, especially since I listened to the audiobook. Here’s an example of what I mean from the book: “My tongue danced with his tongue”. The second “tongue” really isn’t necessary and there are many instances of this sort of thing in the book. If it was only a couple times, it wouldn’t be note-worthy, but it happens so often that the book, which is meant to be written in modern-times (where you would expect pretty informal language), feels oddly foreign and out of place.
For the most part, this book is more sex/sexual tension than actual plot. And, like with the overall writing of the book, the sex and even the dirty talk is rather immature:
Dru herself is honestly a headache. One, who runs into the middle of a runway? Drunk, hungover, or whatever? Two, who quits a job just because they weren’t given enough time off for their honeymoon? Not only that, how full of yourself do you have to be to do a quick “scouting” of the job market and think “Oh, I’ll have no problems getting a job when I come back”. Three, last time I checked you didn’t need a mom around to teach you how to be a good person. At some point in the book, Dru talks about being trouble in high school and says
Sebastian is just ridiculous. There's nothing sexy about a man so stunted that he can't even articulate his affection or desire for someone. His mind is also more on sex than romance. He may go off spouting something romantic at one second, but then follow it up with a comment of how hot Dru's ass is the next. Attraction is great, but I don't understand how people can consider Sebastian's and Dru's relationship "romantic" when they very rarely even actually spoke to one another beyond their sexual-tension filled conversations and the couple of overally dramatic rants.
The ending of this book threw me off as well. Dru and Sebastian are fully together, everything’s going great, but then the next chapter isn’t even from the Point-of-View of Dru nor Sebastian. Instead, it’s from the POV of Zane and there’s a sex scene with him. If you’re going to promote a sequel, that’s really not the best way to do it. I expected to be invested in Dru and Sebastian in this book and would have liked for it to end with them, not with a side character.

“I had to tame the beast in my pants”and
“I was in danger of spooging in my shorts”There’s also extreme misconceptions of sex and how the body works. There’s even a scene where Dru is deep-throating, but somehow her nose is up against Sebastian's belly (yet again, using the word belly).

I was all in on the premise of this book, but the execution really was not for me. This was insta-love central. I'd even go so far as to say it was just lust that brought the two together since I didn't get a whole lot of meshing personalities or life plans or anything like that. They just thought each other were really hot, the sexual chemistry was off the charts, and they both said they've never felt this way about anyone else before. The whole book takes place over only 3 days but the plot runs through all the normal points of a standard romance plot (they meet, flirt, get a little close then pull away, sleep together, have a falling out, have some emotional growth, get back together, happily ever after). This book was over 300 pages long but the plot was rushing by at breakneck speeds. I loved all the individual plot points, but I needed them more spread out to be believable. I couldn't suspend my disbelief as much as the book was asking me to. I did really like the dynamic of all the brothers and while I do wish some of their names were less similar to each other, I did feel like all of them had their own distinct personalities. I also loved Dru's dynamic with her father and his cop buddies. I thought the emotional arc both Dru and Sebastian went through would have been really fantastic if it was built up more and was a bigger issue in their relationships with each other and their families. I'm interested in reading more of the series, but I'm not sure if the pacing and structure of these books is what I'm looking for in a romance book since I tend to favor the slow burn side of the spectrum.
