Okay this book was a four star and 5/5 on the spice scale but the only issues I had was getting lost on who was who with her guys and the going from current to the past was a little confusing. Other then those two issues which is more of a me problem then a book issue this book was amazing. I loved the fact it was more focused on the MFC and her story then it did the guys or her meeting the guys. The beginning had me in tears and that stayed with me the whole book which gives you more a connection and understanding on why Gem is who she is and does what she does. I thought this was going to be much more sweet, happy, kinky and not as emotional. Which the emotional and dark parts are what I love most about this book. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This follows Gem who spirals after a tragic loss. She needs an outlet to deal with the grief and pain. That’s when she meets a woman who takes her to a club but it turns out to be a sex club. Gem finds purpose again but hates it when the world is quiet as she remembers her past.
Wow, what a ride. I enjoyed this, I was drawn in by Colt and Gem at the start. Then everything hurt and the journey was wild but loved it. The mysterious Damon piqued my interest. Also, the spice was delicious the belt scene and punishment had me screaming. Gem has seven men who work for her and serve a purpose in the bedroom. Let's just say Sam and Nick are my favourites. The flashbacks to seven years ago with Xavier and Lilly I enjoyed also.
I will say it’s more character-driven with a little plot. Then I’m trying to work out the deal with Damon and the plot picks up after about 60% and you are intrigued by what’s going to happen and what happened 7 years ago before in the club she found her outlet in. Lastly, the ending left me stumped and I thought I was going to be reading more but it just stopped. I think if chapters 13 and 14 were swapped around it would have felt like more of a cliffhanger, was a 4 but dropped it back to 3.5 for this.
