The story basically had me from "Hello"! It took me away to a place where the only thing that made me mad is that there wasn't more! I mean a CLIFFHANGER?! Ah, Author LM Fox, what have you done to me?! This read definitely hits on all the feels possible and I most definitely recommend grabbing this one as fast as you can!

Really enjoyed this book! I love Nick and Kat's banter back and forth. Definitely some spicy moments with Kat's dreams! The side characters also make the story that much more enjoyable, I love them, especially Nick's dad.

I get a T L Swan vibe from this book, it was so good. This book is told in the POV of Kat and Nick, some of the chapters go back to Kat’s past to explain why she is the way she is.

Kat is a Physician Assistant for her local hospital and loves her job. She has sworn off men after a horrible history with them, she doesn’t trust them. She now just enjoys working and spending time with her friends. She isn’t short of male attention but she is just not interested. She suffers from severe night terrors about her past and her friend Jake suggests she try some sleeping pills, this helps with the sleep, but then she has different types of dreams, which are definitely not terrors and finds herself waking up in the clothing in which she was wearing in her dreams?

Nick is divorced after his wife cheated on him. He decided to change Hospitals as his last hospital was a gossip machine and he wanted a new start. He is a orthopaedic surgeon and is trying to get a name for himself at the new hospital. He isn’t interested in a relationship, just no strings fun after his shattering divorce.

Kat is on her way to work and is running late, she sees the last space in the car park and makes a bee line for it. As she gets out the car she is looked at by a handsome man in aviator sunglasses, however he isn’t happy. “

Deprivation by LM Fox is the first book in the Deprivation Trilogy and I thoroughly enjoyed this strangers to lovers, workplace romance.

Kat is a Physician Assistant in an ER and has a string of bad relationships and horrible exes. Nick, a surgeon, hasn’t had a great love life either. A bitter divorce has left him jaded and unconvinced he’ll ever find love. Their first encounter leaves them captivated by each other, but both characters are all sorts of messed up and they both have complicated pasts which have made them the way they are. Kat and Nick’s first encounter introduces so much tension between the two. They find each other attractive, but don’t want to pursue anything with anyone.

LM Fox has written a compelling slow-burn romance with intriguing characters. I loved the accuracy and attention to detail LM Fox has put into the development of this story. The banter was amazing, and I loved the push and pull between the characters. However, there was a wealth of information about these character’s pasts which made this a bit slow for me and I was slightly confused about how everything came together due to the sheer number of characters.

Overall, I really enjoyed this romance and I can’t wait to read the next book after that cliffhanger!

I’ve read all books in the Deprivation trilogy and have decided to do a review that covers all three books and then share across.

When this was described as a slow burn… legit no exaggeration, in fact that was not expressed enough. I think the stories overall were written well, just a few minor tweaks here and there but it didn’t stop me from continuing.

I feel like there are quite a few unanswered questions that I would love some closure on.

I like the stories, some very interesting characters, some I would hope to see get developed further. I couldn’t really get over how Kat’s family initially came across and don’t think the resolution got enough air time

Back at it again with another medical romance novel from L M Fox
slow-paced

A bit spicy, a bit of a slow burn though! I like the book though I think that LM Fox would benefit from a better copy editor (it’s Colombia, not Columbia, when referring to the country and therefore the coffee roast, and the main character’s friends name, Meghan was spelled several times with an H and once as just Megan). Generally though I thought the book was intriguing and kept me engaged and I’ll likely finish the series. I really enjoyed reading a book written by a PA, because the scenarios were much more realistic, and therefore much more enjoyable to read as a fellow PA!

Definitely doesn't disappoint!
