I was so excited for Jupiter's story after the ending of The Show that I started this book immediately, and it did not disappoint. I quickly fell in love with Marnie and Jupiter's love story. It was everything you could want in a second chance.
Marnie is intelligent, quiet, and a little bit shy. I loved watching her blossom during her new job. Of course the girls took her right under the wing, and I loved the friendships that came out of it. Jupiter is broody, confident, and cocky. He goes after what he wants and what he wants is Marnie.
I loved the tension and the sentimental moments that happened between these two from the lifesavers to the telescope to the stars. It was all so sweet and romantic. The chemistry between these two is also off the charts.
Oh my god the ending had me cackling, but it was just so perfect for them. I loved every single minute of it. I can't wait for the next book in the New York Players series.

only ♾️ infinity stars for this masterpiece 💖
I'm going to start by saying that this book was wonderful, I didn't find anything wrong with it and I loved reading it every minute, despite being a second chance it's so well written that I loved it 💖🥺
Jupiter has become one of my book boyfriends and with a lot of strength, I loved his personality, I liked that despite everything and the years he still love Marnie, he is tattooed and believe me that when we get to the part where he says the meaning of them i cried like a magdalena for how beautiful it is, am i being objective here? No, but it doesn't matter because here we love Jupiter and he did nothing wrong. Now if we are going to talk about Marnie, I loved her, she is a rocket scientist, she loves space and she was working at N.A.S.A until she got a new job with the New York Lions to see how she makes them win with the whole aerodynamics thing, Marnie on personality issues, my poor girl suffered and she knows that she has not fully healed but we see throughout the book how she is growing ❤️🩹
This book felt close to home bc where I'm from we like baseball so much and I hadn't read a book about this sport in a long time, I liked the dynamics of the chapters, I liked the group of friends that Marnie, Beulah and Lowe make... I lived my best life with this book ❤️🩹💖
Now while I wait for the other book in the series I'm going to read all of Lulu's books because I honestly liked her writing!!!
🫂thank you @lulumoorebooks and @valentine_pr_ for gave me this arc in exchange for my honest review 📚!!

Thanks so much to Lulu and Valentine PR for this arc.
As a huge baseball fan, particularly a Dodgers fan, I really wanted to LOVE this book. This book was good but I just wasn’t as hooked as I would have liked to have been.
I’m all for second chance romances but I wish they would’ve met again organically years later and not because he basically manipulated himself back into her life and wasn’t taking no for an answer. He was too demanding in the beginning for my taste and I hate when people don’t apologize when they’re wrong. I do understand why he broke things off before because Marnie would’ve made a mistake giving up her dream but I didn’t like the way he went about things once they reconnected.
On Marnie’s end I loved that she was a STEM girly but a pet peeve of mine is when someone diminishes a past relationship just for the main guy. I would have preferred for her to completely move on and then later on rekindle with Jupiter instead of her basically saying her first marriage didn’t mean anything compared to the love she felt for Jupiter at age 16 because why even get married if you don’t love the person you’re with. It just didn’t feel right they should’ve just removed the first husband’s existence in the plot altogether or just had her date other people instead of giving her a past marriage.
I also found myself liking their past selves more than their present ones, especially Jupiter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️ This book was a good second chance romance. I love a man that grovels &Jupiter definitely needed to &did. All the characters were very likable. The storyline was nice &easy to follow. The tension between the main characters was palpable. If you’re looking for a second chance baseball romance, this one is for you.
I’d like to thank Valentinepr &Lulu Moore for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again Lulu can write book boyfriends. I know y’all have your lists but let me introduce you to the latest man to be added to your roster; Jupiter Reeves.
I’m not going to lie to you I had high expectations for this book. Lulu has been teasing us with snippets which I have been soaking up but have no fear because she literally hit it out of the park!! [no pun intended]
This man…he is EVERYTHING! And I say this as a die hard Murray fan (I cannot believe I writing this because I think Jupiter has stolen my heart from my beautiful brooding Brit!)
I’m so glad that we got to see Jupiter, the man behind the grumpy, tattooed facade (though I love that version of him too, and the meaning behind his tattoos *be still me beating heart*). He’s sweet and funny and wonderful - I LOVE HIM!
And Marnie - from the inner firecracker to her vulnerability to her big beautiful brilliant brain [we love a woman in STEM]. You can feel her inner strength and struggle though the pages. Torn between what her hearts wants and what her heads believes to be true - Yes, just yes to all of it!
The storytelling is so well put together from present day to flashbacks both timelines add to the depth and richness to the characters. Both characters go through on an emotional rollercoaster and the angst at moments had my heart breaking but their journey back to one another was perfection. It makes you laugh out loud, cry and swoon hard! Plus the steam 🔥🔥 I’m going to leave you to read the book to discover what I mean.
As with her previous work, I adore how Lulu’s series are interconnected and we get some surprise guest appearances! It makes me so happy.
This was a standout read. Thank you so much Lulu and Valentines PR for the opportunity to ARC review
