To be honest, it was hard to get past the first half of the book because it wasn't believable. They dated for five months in high school but somehow fourteen years later they realized they still loved each other. I'm sorry but if I felt that way about someone I wouldn't wait fourteen years to try and fix things. For that reason its a three star. I was going to give it a two are until the last 70 pages when it got more enjoyable and redeemed itself a little bit. No hate to the author though, I just thought it was cheesy.
neutral? fine? mmc was annoying and creepy as hell also he was super clingy for someone who brutally broke her heart
she was too forgiving tbh and also he really liked to avoid the fact of what he said when he first broke up with her and just didn’t acknowledge the fact that he even broke up w her years ago
he just casually buys her a house and says “this is where our kids will grow up😊😊” after agreeing to be casual
he’s annoying as hell makes me wanna punch him

Baseball is my favorite sport. And considering how much I love sports romance, this book was a perfect ARC choice for my to snag.
Jupiter breaks up with Marnie when he’s drafted with the Dodgers, even though she’s the love of his life. But at 16 and 18, how can you really be sure of that? Neither wants to give up their dreams but they want to be together too.
Many years later Jupiter agrees on a trade to New York, if the Lions owner can get Marnie (an astrophysicist) to come work for the team also. Jupiter is determined to get her back, even if it involves some manipulation. We follow their journey of a second chance, and figure out the real reasons why he dumped her.
This was a cute story, and I really wanted to like it more. I found some of the baseball parts inaccurate and I thought it was longer than necessary.
Even though this didn’t totally hit the nail on the head for me, I definitely want to read more of Lulu’s books.
Thank you Valentine PR for my ARC of this book.
