Umm, excuse me?? I’m in love!!

I have no baseball or astronomical knowledge but reading this made me feel smart by association!! Jupiter & Marnie will always be end game. There is nothing Jupiter wouldn’t do for her… including letting her go to follow her dreams. Years later he manages to find her and does everything he can to prove to her that they’re meant to be.

Jupiter is persistent, the guy knows what he wants and fights hard. Marnie has that same drive and is what drew him to her in the first place. Reading about him processing his emotions and fall in love with the little things she does (he’s so observant!!) makes you feel warm and fuzzy cause he’s so gone for her. Marnie is strong and smart and never runs from a challenge. She really knocked Jupiter down a peg or two and seems to always humble him in the best way. I also love that we get a double grovel (from both sides)!!

The only reason I didn’t give a 5 was because I had a few questions by the end that didn’t get answered. It would’ve been good to get more insight into their lives during the 14yrs they had apart but overall this is one of my fav reads this year!! Now, please excuse me while I go read the rest of Lulu’s masterpieces because I’m hooked from the lil cameos.

Thank you to Lulu & ValentinePR for a copy of this book, this is my honest review <3

I love a good second chance romance, but what I love even more is a H that knows that they are meant to be with the h, and is willing to do almost anything to show her that same fact.

Jupiter is so loving and persistent, and just overall scrumptious.

The only negative thing I can really think of is I want it more spice scenes.

Otherwise, this is an impeccable story as a second chance, love, and what someone is willing to go through to show their lover, that they are meant to be together.

Highly recommend, and I really need to get a physical copy of this!

If you’re looking for a sports romance that is going to absolutely knock your socks off, look no further than The Third Baseman. This second chance romance put me through the emotional wringer in all of the best ways and I did not want it to end.

Jupiter freaking Reeves. This man had me absolutely swooning throughout this entire book. He’s playful and fun, deliciously possessive, and nothing short of perfect. When he explained the meaning behind his tattoos? My heart felt like it was going to beat right out of my chest. I LOVE HIM SO DAMN MUCH. Marni was also an easy character to love - she’s passionate and driven, with a vulnerability that's easy to relate to.

Lulu Moore’s storytelling was addicting, with flashbacks to Jupiter and Marni’s high school relationship that added so much to both the plot and the characters. I felt like I was riding the emotional rollercoaster right alongside Jupiter and Marni - I laughed, I cried, I swooned…I felt it all and I just could not get enough.

I liked it but I also felt like something was missing and I can’t explain what.

Marnie was married before – it felt like this was used as fluff since not much is mentioned about it. Did he love that man? Or did she simply marry him to stop loving Jupiter? She did admit she divorced because she realized she still loved Jupiter but still… I would love to hear more about it than just being briefly mentioned.

Jupiter was involved with OW even though he apparently loved and pinned for his childhood sweetheart for 14 years which just doesn’t make sense. Why did he want her in the team he didn’t particularly like if they were together eons back and he loved for her so deeply yet still slept with other women? It doesn’t make sense at all. It was cute he had tattoos that reminded him of her though but like I said, why did he sleep with other women if he couldn’t get her out of his mind?

I also didn’t really understand why she left NASA, her dream job since childhood for the baseball team. I also didn’t completely understand how could she help with her profession since she was an astrophysicist or something and baseball is… well, baseball.

The book had chapters from their time together where they were in high school. I had a love/hate relationship with those chapters. Liked them to see how cute they were together back then, disliked them for interrupting the flow of the story in the present.

3 stars.

"Do you remember the first time you introduced me to the Milky Way? The first time we watched it together and I saw a shooting star?” She tore her eyes away from the sky and met mine, with a nod and a broad smile. “I wished for you.”

I’m not usually a big second chance romance girl BUT I absolutely ate this book up! Jupiter and Marnie were always meant to be

This book was absolutely everything I love about Lulu Moore’s books! Strong women who think for themselves. ‘Swoony’ men that make you melt. Banter to the nines - oh gosh the banter is making me smile all over again!

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!

Their story is so special. It started young, had a 14 year hiatus, then was a workout to get their final HEA. Like I said these Lulu women are not pushovers and it took Marnie a bit to succumb to Jupiter’s passionate persistence.

Lulu effortlessly switched between POVs and time periods. The ‘past’ chapters were placed strategically and enhanced the book’s present ones. I loved seeing how Marnie and Jupiter’s relationship evolved but still held on to the original passion and connection they had when they initially became a couple.

Jupiter, who started out as just a side character in Lulu’s other books, turned into one of the best book men and will definitely be a top favorite of mine!

I absolutely love a book with a smart nerdy girl so I wanted to read this so bad! It did not disappoint! I was instantly invested in Jupiter and Marnie's love story!

They were so sweet and innocent yet angsty and steamy! I loved Jupiter being so grumpy and mean to other people but when it came to Marnie he was so perfectly sweet and romantic! Jupiter will leave you swooning so hard!

While reading, I wanted so desperately for them to work out! I fell in love with them and really enjoyed their story. This was such a fantastic book about second chances and a young love that doesn't fade. I can not wait to read more from Lulu Moore!
