Didn’t really feel a connection between the two MCs. I also feel like the FMC gave in too quickly. Needed more groveling from MMC.

I love a baseball romance and loved how this book included a woman in science as well. I struggled with Jupiter’s rather…persistent behavior and his unwillingness to communicate about the past, but disliking a character’s behavior doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the story. He was sure confident in himself and his love for Marn!

I really enjoyed this book and watching Jupiter and Marnie fall back in love!
I did knock off a star, as I felt that  the book didn’t need to include so much sexual content from the flashback perspective of two minors in high school, as this felt  inappropriate to me.
I also wish that the author showed more baseball knowledge and understanding. I did love how dedicated Jupiter was in getting Marnie back and all the little things that showed he never stopped loving her!

Jupiter & Marnie

They are next door neighbors - him the popular third baseman and her the science nerd. They fall hard but he breaks her heart the day he gets drafted…..only to beg for it back 14 years later.

Wow, I love the name Jupiter and there story, his love for her. Ugh <3 the only thing I wish could have been better is more depth on their time away from each other and how it changed them, what new things they learned about each other and from each other. But si h a cute read otherwise

Wow this was laughably bad. I told myself to DNF so many times but, nevertheless I persevered. Jupiter is a walking red flag and if anyone roots for him…I don’t even have the words. Marnie’s made up job was so incredibly dumb, my mind was continuously blown. Why couldn’t she just be on the analytics team instead of being the director of “baseball science” LMAO. Also, what’s up with all the typos? Was this a first draft that saw no developmental edits? There’s so much more I could say but TLDR: give this a miss

insanely similar to the life i lived in the last year. dated a third baseman who wore the number 5 and broke up with me and left me crying on a porch. marnie is the first name on my baby names list which i had shared with this ex boyfriend. scary similarities. i can’t even describe.
