Split Second

David Baldacci

I've tried Baldacci before and didn't get in to it. I was determined to see this through and did. And while I liked King and Maxwell and even the basic premise the book didn't do anything for me. It felt overly long and poorly plotted. I known I'm in the minority, but his writing just doesn't click with me.

Not bad. Definitely had some surprises at the end. The dialogue was pretty bad

I just don't think these kind of books are for me anymore. So farfetched and unrealistic, I just couldn't get on board with any of it. Time to remove this genre from my to read list.

I really liked the characters this author writes and I enjoyed the story. I’m looking forward to another book.

One of those rare cases where you find a book based on its t.v. show (which unfortunately did not get renewed for a second season). Coming from the show, I knew the names of the characters and their roles, but the descriptions are completely different. Personally, I just kept with the picture I had from the television show...but anyway...

This was my first time reading a mass-market suspense author. I must say, it was suspenseful. Lots of twists and turns, especially at the end. Looking forward to book two.
