"The sea didn't forget our sins. She just let us pay for them in different increments of blood."

I really enjoyed this prequel to Fable and Namesake! It was wonderful getting to know Saint's history, and the history of the Narrows.

I enjoyed this book and learning a little more about Saint and Isolde’s backstory. It provided a little more info on why Saint made the decisions revealed in Fable and Namesake. I’d recommend reading or listening to this one after finishing Fable and Namesake

After reading Fable and Namesake, I wanted to know more about Saint because there had to be more to him! There had to be a reason why he did the things he did! I was so happy to see that it was not just his POV but also Isolde’s! Another character I’ve been dying to know more about! And now I feel at peace, all roads crossed and questions answered.
