I loved every minute of this adventure. Only complaint is I could never have enough. The story was perfectly timed and tuned. The relationships developed in a rhythm and pace that felt natural and honest. It hit every note perfectly and I’m just so sad I’m finished with it.

After reading Fable and Namesake I knew I wanted more of Saints story. This was everything I wanted & more. He quickly became my favorite character and I loved learning more about him, Isolde, and Clove! These books have a special place in my heart.

I listened to this as an audiobook and having it narrated by both a man and a woman made it really fun! I thought the narrators did a good job and brought a fun element to the book having different accents between the “salt bloods” and “narrow born” characters.

I honestly had no idea what this book was about, I picked it up because a friend recommended this book and because of this it took me a little bit to understand what was going on, but once I understood I really enjoyed this book.

This book gives off the vibes of elemental magic meets pirates. I loved how vivid the world was explained and I able to capture while listening to this book. I thought the character growth of both Saint and Isolde was beautifully written and I’m very excited to continue this series! This book is definitely a fantasy book with very little romance so if you’re expecting a “Romantasy” this is probably not the book for you.

You’ll enjoy this book if you like:
•Pirates & Magic
•Unique World Setting
•Secrets
•Fantasy with a little Romance

Fable is one of my favorites and despite how long it took me to get around to reading it, I have been so excited to read Saint and Isolde’s story.

Isolde is running from her mother and the secrets she carries and Saint is trying to make up for the sins of his past. I loved getting a glimpse into what made Saint who he is when we meet him in Fable, and the love story between Saint and Isolde is just as swoon worthy as I thought it would be.

It was also fun to see the beginnings of several other characters that we meet in Fable. I was hoping that we would be able to meet little Fable in this book, but I did enjoy the ending despite me wanting a little bit more of their story to unfold.

If you are a fan of Fable, Namesake, and love the world of The Narrows and The Unnamed Sea … this is one you should definitely pick up!
