Wanted to read this bc of the tv show! And I still love Cole. It was wild seeing some of the differences they made from the book to the show. And how Cole was really the one who was doing all the sweet romantic things for Jackie (even the things Alex did in the show) and I guess I get the show wanting to make the love triangle a little more even. But it was so much more clear in the book that Cole was IN LOVE the whole time. Also I was absolutely in shock at the end when Jackie and Alex talk about their “feelings” and using each other to basically hurt cole. I was like ?!?! But team Cole all the way

There were so many characters to keep track of, and at the beginning it was difficult to do so. But as you got to know the subtle nuances and different personalities of the Walter Boys (and girl), they started to become really easy to like. It was a little long, so it wasn't the quickest of books to read, but it was easy to enjoy.
