Cute high school romance. I know it’s part of the plot but there’s too many boys- I kept getting them mixed up. & it irked me there was a minor but obvious writing mistake in the book (when they introduce Parker in ch1 they refer as ‘he’ but she is actually a girl)

This one was a mix for me! The premise is super compelling after losing her family, Jackie moves in with her mom’s best friend… who just happens to have 12 sons. Cue total life upheaval, emotional healing, and a whole lot of chaos.

I liked Jackie’s quieter moments and the glimpses of found family. There’s a lot of heart here, but also a good bit of teen drama that started to wear thin after a while. The love triangle got messy and didn’t always feel fully earned.

That said, this will totally hit the mark for readers who love YA stories about adjusting to new environments, unexpected bonds, and navigating first love through grief and change.
