I enjoyed about 15% of this book, the other 85% is a toss up between “wtf”, “are we just reenacting The Godfather but make it Russian?”, “why am I supposed to like Remi WHEN HE TALKS IN THIRD PERSON AND CALLS HIMSELF ‘my lordship’” also the weird kidnapping/not kidnapping private island bit was wildly weird
These books are so bad I can’t stop help me

I’m actually really glad I gave book 2 a shot. I ended up liking Creighton and Annika’s story way more than I thought I would. Creigh is so broken and closed off, and watching Annika help him let go and piece himself back together? Perfect! Their connection felt deep, intense, and messy. Now, I’m not gonna lie, Annika had me wanting to shake her a few times. She tested me. But overall, I loved their story. The only thing that really bugged me was her being 17. I know she turns 18 later, but I still wasn’t loving that part. So it’s a 4 star for me. Still worth the read.
If I could rate this higher than a 5, I totally would. This book absolutely blew me away from start to finish.
Since the epilogue I read prior to this series coming out, I was incredibly intrigued by Creighton’s backstory. Then after reading God of Malice I was intrigued by the dynamics between Annika and Creighton.
I loved everything about this book and found myself sobbing a few times while I was reading this. I was so invested in the story and just kept rooting for the two of them, especially Creighton. He is probably my favorite second generation character so far.
Amazing work yet again!

2.75⭐️’s.
I’m so sorry but this book is not for me. I felt so sick reading it. I was so disappointed I literally wanted to cry. TBH the dance scene was so amazing I loved it so much. But I’m not a fan for sadist things I felt sick. (Not like that at least.)
