*spoilers*
Okay, let me start off by saying I didn't like this one as much as the first one.
The plot was like- only there for the last 100 pages of the book. I thought he would be trying to woo her the whole time, but no. It got quite fun and interesting when the wooing started, but before all of that, I was like ugh... when is this book going to start?!
Characters: It literally hurt my heart so bad that they completely changed who Liz Buxbaum is- her interests, her wardrove, her "love lover" personality and made her more grown up, more boring. I get it, you grow up when you hit college or have a break up but it's like her entire personality changed and didn't actually fully come back like I hoped it would. She was so unique and quirky and that was now gone. The worst part was... all of the other characters I fell in love with (Joss, Michael, Helena, dad, Noah, etc) just like, disappeared, and I heard NOTHING about them until the last quarter of the book. I just hate that Liz ditched everything from her past life because of Wes. On the contrary, we got new characters which I honestly didn't vibe as much with, like Campbell, Leo, Wade, Lilith, etc. Clark was OK and so was Coach Ross, but since when did Wes have a SISTER because I don't remember her being mentioned in the first book AT ALL and all of a sudden she is here and important and everyone else isn't. Wes was okay I just didn't like how sometimes he seemed too pushy on Liz.
I missed the small town vibes and I guess I knew that would be gone but they spent so much time on the baseball field that I didn't get to learn much about the rest of the city other than the school library, the houses where parties were thrown, and Liz's apartment.
I hated having both of their POVs, I am sorry. That's just a me thing with every book that has this, though. It's too much switching between personalities and I always have a favorite POV to read in.
There was a lot more baseball in this than I had expected. Like, A LOT.
I think the next book may be about Sarah and Clark which I'd be down to see. However, I'd be so disappointed if they tried to pull a "brother's best friend" on them, since Clark and Wes DO get along, but they kind of just met.
I am not a fan of the second chance trope.
Overall, this book was alright. However, I think they should've finished it off with the first one. I loved the last 100 pages because so much good stuff went down. I even found myself laughing the most throughout those pages, as I WAS prepared to laugh when I picked this book up. But...I can't help being a bit disappointed when I compare it to the first one.

My sweet, hopeless romantic love bubble of Wes and Liz got exposed to reality and popped. WesLiz, my perfect romcom couple, showed that relationships has its imperfections. And that's ok, as long as there's trust and proper communication.
Although, the scenario at the ending could have been better. Too cliche for me. And what if that didn't happened? I know she loves him, but how long will she tell him?
