Constantine is 24 and works part-time as a deputy and part-time without pay for the family's floral/landscaping business. Micah, 40, is a florist who is a business rival. When Micah overhears a conversation and realizes Con needs money, he offers him a secret job. The job leads to an enemies to lovers romance, which they also have to keep secret.
There are issues involving trouble that Con got into in the past, and a subplot about Con wanting to start a landscape design business.

I enjoyed Micah and Con. I really, really don't like Con and Julian's mother.
We meet Micah's brother Mason in this book, who is a M/C in [b:Off Plan|53238525|Off Plan (Whispering Key, #1)|May Archer|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1587480701l/53238525._SY75_.jpg|80626907]. We get a hint of the problems with his fiancee. I wonder if May Archer was already planning Off Plan when she wrote this book? I highly recommend Off Plan. Con and Micah make a cameo in that book.

Loved this book like the other ones!
Good mix of comedy and romantic tension.
Was a little confused by Micah randomly giving Constantine a BJ that day he was super frustrated though
Also the whole "is he attracted to me?" thing they kinda got a little annoying considering they'd very clearly established that they both were attracted multiple times (kissing in the bar, casually talking about physically finding each other attractive, essentially moving in together)
This book continues to also amaze me with how many of theses O'Leary characters I'm now recognizing and am involved with. The small overlap between the other books is a nice callback that helps really make the town feel alive.
The Ross mother's character growth is also repeated here (which makes sense since this book overlaps in time with the previous book which is also about a Ross son) and I really enjoy her learning to see her children as adults rather than kids she needs to protect.
Essentially fluffy since the angst isn't super strong but it's just the way I like it!
